FAQ: General Policies...
General Sales Policies:
- Sales Taxes:
Sales taxes will be collected and paid for any and all
professionally installed products at the required local tax rate for that area.
Direct-ship and self-installed products will be taxed if they are shipped to any address in
Florida.
- Lifetime Warrantee:
All Motorcycle Anchor™ ground anchors are
warranted for life when professionally installed. If one fails in any manner, we will replace it or
refund your original purchase price, our choice.
- One Year Warrantee on MotorcycleAnchor-made
goods:
All other products we manufacture are
warranted for a period of one year to the original purchaser unless
otherwise noted. If any item fails to perform as described when used per
instructions, or fails due to defects in materials or workmanship during
that year, we will replace it or refund your original purchase price,
our choice, upon receiving the defective one back.
- One Year Warrantee on other goods:
All other products we sell are warranted for a
period of one year to the original purchaser by the original manufacturer unless otherwise noted. If any item fails to
perform as described or fails due to defects in materials or workmanship
during that year, we will assist you in getting it replaced or refunded by the original manufacturer.
- Bonded Anti-Theft Coverage:
Every professionally installed
(installed by one of our certified installers) Motorcycle Anchor™
carries an anti-theft insurance policy for items locked to it at time of
theft, if the item was stolen by virtue of the Motorcycle Anchor™
being the point of breech. If that is the case, please contact our
customer service line to handle the details.
- eBay Sales:
We do not offer our
products* on eBay, nor do any of our authorized resellers or installers
(by contract). If you see our
standard products on eBay, they are either imitations (knock-offs), or
second-hand, and are not covered by our warrantees nor our guarantees.
Please email our staff
to report any illegal eBay sales and you will get a discount on your
next purchase as a thank-you. Bidders Beware!
The only exception is prototype Motorcycle Anchor™
products which may be one-off's or specialty runs of Motorcycle Anchor™ where excess
inventory was left over.
- Price Protection Guarantee:
if you purchase
any of our Motorcycle Anchor™ brand products and the price on that
same item (via an authorized dealer or directly from us) drops within 30
days, send a photocopy of your original receipt and the quote for the
lower price, and we will refund the difference. Allow three to four
weeks for the refund to be processed. Price Protection Guarantee
excludes shipping and handling cost reductions or differences, and
applies only to the retail cost of the actual item sans installation
fees.
- Return Policy:
If you are dissatisfied with
any product we manufacture (for any reason what-so-ever) which was sold
to you by us or any authorized dealer, simply return the complete
product in it's original packaging with all sub-items present (including
registration cards, adhesives, etc) to the authorized dealer you
purchased it from for a full refund (less any shipping charges) within
30 days of purchase. We reserve the right to question why you were
dissatisfied with the product (we want to know why your not 100%
satisfied!), but will not deny your return if the above requirements are
fulfilled.
- We Ship only to Confirmed Addresses:
Saying we ship only to
confirmed addresses means that we go through extra steps to ensure that
packages get to their intended destinations, and that there is no fraud
or deception involved in the purchase. Specifically, we check American
addresses against the United States Postal Service's (USPS's) address
database to ensure the address is complete and valid. Canadian addresses
get checked against the Canadian equivalent (Poste CA database).
Additionally, it means that if you pay via electronic funds (by credit
card, E-check, bank transfer or PayPal account), that the shipment will go
only to the valid billing name and billing address, or to an address that has
been approved through original financial institution which handles the account. The only ways
to get around this are to either (a) add another confirmed address
through your financial institution, or (b) mail us a check or money
order (paper funds instead of electronic funds); note that checks and/or money
orders must clear before shipment.
- Signature Policy:
Any item shipped to you or
to be installed by one of our installers may require a mandatory adult
acceptance signature, at our discretion.
- International Shipments (outside of the USA/Canada):
- VAT, Import Taxes, Custom Fees, etc:
The purchaser is solely
responsible for VAT (Value Added Taxes), import taxes, excise taxes,
custom fees, and any other government-imposed fees imposed by the
destination's government for shipments outside the USA. We will
NOT mark packages as 'gifts', 'presents' or 'samples' to help you avoid
paying taxes on the item, nor will we falsely state the actual sales
price for purposes of generating lower taxes.
- International packages require a valid local telephone number for the intended recipient
in most countries. This phone number is used by both the customs department of your country to notify you
if you need to pick-up the package from them, and for the delivery agency to schedule delivery if it is not
held for customs. Failure to provide us a valid phone number may delay your
shipment indefinitely (i.e. - until we get the valid phone number).
- Return for failure to pay VAT, Import Taxes, Custom Fees, etc:
If a
package is returned from an international destination for failure to pay
import taxes, custom fees, VAT, or other government-imposed fees set by
your government, or from failure to pick up the package within their
time requirements, your money will NOT be refunded and your package will
NOT be automatically reshipped. We have yet to have this happen, but it
may -- so please pick up your packages from customs if necessary!
- International Destinations:
We NEVER ship to the following
countries* in order to avoid possible issues with US export laws or delivery issues:
China, Cuba, Libya, North Korea, Afghanistan, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, and
most central and southern African nations (Kenya, Nigeria, etc), the
republics of the former Yugoslavia, nor any country known to be
experiencing civil riots, revolution, severe natural disaster, or unreliable mail/package delivery
service.
* NOTE: Except to valid APO/FPO Addresses in these countries; see APO/FPO (next bullet).

- International APO/FPO Destinations:
We ship to any APO/FPO address where the military Postal Agency's limits
can be met. Certain APO & FPO zip codes have extensive limitations on
what can be sent, the total package weight, and/or recipient. Please see
Overseas Military Mail: Restrictions List by zip code for
current requirements, or contact the Military Postal Agency at
800-810-6098 Monday through Friday 0730-1630 hours.
If your APO/FPO zip code has a "G", "O", "P", "X", "Y" or "Z" restriction on it on this
page, we can not send you any
merchandise, because your APO zip can not take packages of merchandise or packages in excess
on 1 Lb.
